What I Learned

The book isn't thick, because the graphics are excellent and Rick Young apparently does believe that a picture is worth a thousand words. And these aren't cheesy black and whites either! He follows the mantra of  "short, precise, concise". Nice.

"Final Cut Studio 2" is valued at $1,300.00. If you want to jump in quickly with both feet and be productive, then you probably can sit through the tutorials that come with it for a while or curl up with a book that is very user-friendly.

What I learned most was bout how things were and how things have become in the movie development industry. And Rick Young did it with a touch of professional humor.

Conclusion

If you want a snapshot of those areas that you need the most help on with Final Cut Pro, then this book will get you what you are looking for.

If you want a guide on Final Cut Studio 2, you will need to look elsewhere.
